Vintage Moroccan Tamegroute Compote
Sold OutTamegroute is a small village at the edge of the Sahara Desert where potters have been making ceramics since the mid-17th century, and it is the only place in Morocco that produces this distinctive green glaze — a tradition inherited from the potters of Fez. Each piece is handcrafted using techniques passed down through generations of artisan families, with natural variations in color from deep emerald to pale sage. Pile it with fruit, botanicals, or simply leave it empty.
Provenance: Late 20th Century, Morocco
Dimensions: 11.5"D x 5.5"H
Condition: Moderate chipping around the rim of the compote is evident.
