Vintage Italian Spongewear Bowl

A lovely example of Italian spongeware, hand-decorated in the traditional manner with deep forest green glaze dabbed over a white ground — no two marks exactly alike, no two bowls ever quite the same. The generous, wide form is as useful as it is beautiful — fruit on the kitchen table, pasta at Sunday supper, or simply displayed on a shelf where it can be admired. Good condition.
